Dear Church Family,

As you know, the situation with the COVID-19 outbreak is fluid and quickly changing.  We are closely monitoring all information and guidance from officials with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), New York State, and Livingston County. We will make decisions regarding future Sunday worship service gatherings on a week-to-week basis and will communicate those decisions via email, our website at, and Facebook.

Currently (Monday, March 16, 2020, 4:00 pm)

The CDC is recommending gatherings of no more than 50 people

Detailed information, including preparation and prevention, from the CDC can be found at

Governor Cuomo states “The three States (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) will limit crowd capacity for recreational and social gatherings to 50 people – effective by 8 PM tonight

Restaurants and bars will close for on premise service and move to take-out and delivery only effective 8 PM tonight

Movie theaters, gyms and casinos will temporarily close effective 8 PM tonight”

Livingston County has declared a State of Emergency

“As the Chief Executive of Livingston County, I, David LeFeber Chairman of the Board, exercise the authority given me under Section 24 of the New York State Executive Law, to preserve the public health and public safety and hereby render all required and available assistance vital to the security, well-being, and health and safety of the citizens of Livingston County.

This State of Emergency does not in any way impact travel at this time. County government operations will continue unless otherwise advised.

I hereby direct all departments and agencies of Livingston County to take whatever steps necessary to protect life, health, property, public infrastructure and provide such emergency assistance deemed necessary.

Local emergency orders may be enacted subsequent to this declaration. This State of Emergency will remain in effect for thirty days or until rescinded or renewed by a subsequent order.”

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
