When God calls us it is an invitation to walk with God, to be in a lifetime relationship of love. We see that in the life of Abraham and consider it today.
On this second Sunday in Lent Pastor Keith Griswold shares a message rooted in the story of Abraham.
Each Sunday during Lent we are opening with a reading from the book of Psalms. This week it is Psalm 22:25-31.
Our scripture readings today are Genesis 17:1-8 and Romans 4:13-25
Join us in the hymn “Trust and Obey,” sung here by Don Moen.
Our Lord Invites Us to Go On An Everlasting Walk With Him
- Genesis 17:1 (Amplified Bible)
- Deuteronomy 7:8-9
God doesn’t invite us to a journey for just one day, or for one week, but for the rest of our life. And even when we’re not faithful, God is.
Our Lord Invites Us to Walk in Obedience
- Genesis 17:1
- John 10:10
- John 1:4
- Psalm 34:8
Our Lord Invites Us On a Walk of Blessing
- Genesis 17:2
- Romans 4:16
Questions to Consider…
- Have you started a walk with God?
- If you’ve already started, how is it going?
- Are you going deeper in your faith?
- Are you growing in your loving relationship with Jesus?
- If you’ve been blessed by God, do you share those blessings with others – both your material and your spiritual blessings?
As we close today’s worship, consider the words of the hymn “Where He Leads Me.”
