Prayer – time spent talking with God – is a vital part of GUMC. Some of the ways this is evident are
- The prayer chain: the church maintains a prayer chain of members who, when notified, will lift up specific prayer needs of whoever requests.
- Praying for each other: prayer needs are listed weekly in the bulletin and shared during a time of “Joys and Concerns” during both worship services.
- Prayer room: a room is set apart just for prayer. This room is open to anyone whenever the church is open. Prayer requests can be left there at any time.
- Prayer for outside groups that use the church building: Outside groups have been specifically invited to share prayer requests with us. These groups, and any specific requests, are regularly prayed for by a group of people that pray during all Parish Outreach Center hours.
Prayer Requests
If you have a prayer request you would like us to pray for, please consider doing so in the comment section below or by contacting us via email. No name is necessary – God knows.
Please pray for my daughter who is going through hurtful relationship problems. Pray for Gods wisdom, healing, intervention and restoration in all of this. And pray for our friends who need God and his guidance in their lives and redirection from bad choices they are making. Thank you for your prayers and God bless you.
Hi Beth,
I have forwarded your prayer request to our Prayer Chain, and I will keep your daughter in my prayers. Thank you for reaching out to us.
