Keith has been the senior pastor at Geneseo UMC since July 2008, he is an ordained Elder within the United Methodist Church; and has been a pastor for twenty years. Prior to entering the ministry Keith spent fifteen years in the business world, with most of that time spent as a personnel recruiter and as a sales manager. He uses the statement “a long strange trip,” for his responding to God’s call to the ministry. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Colgate-Rochester Divinity/Bexley Hall/Crozer Theological Seminary in 1982 but did not enter the ministry then. It wasn’t until 1995 when God renewed the call that Keith responded with: “Here am I Lord, send me.”
Keith received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew University in 2006. His project and dissertation were focused on becoming a missional church; Keith’s concern for the people of God is to realize that they have been called to reach their community with the good news about Jesus, both in word and deeds.
Keith is a native of Rochester and went to the Boston area for college. At Eastern Nazarene College he met his wife, Kathy King-Griswold; they have two adult children: Kelsey and Kyle.
Favorite Scripture Verse—Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
