It Is Well With My Soul
“It is well with my Soul”
I suppose that should be my catchphrase, having just come home from vacation. Darren and I were completely blessed with a few days of sun and indigo blue water. Ah… and thank you, for your prayers while we were away and well wishes once we got back. But I should warn you when I return from vacation I’m full of positive, God blessed energy, all of which I plan on using as your pastor, as we move forward as a church discerning who we are, who we were in the past, and who we will become as our denomination begins to change.
Oops I used that C word, CHANGE! Dear ones, let us not fear, instead let us completely trust God with every moment, every hour, every day, every year, especially as change is likely. I guess that is why we try so hard to hang on to what we remember in the past as “the good old days.” My hope is that we will never forget God is with us, and that God is not ready, (for all I’ve seen) to give up on God’s Church or people yet!
What do we know at this me?
It’s me to pray! Let us thank God for our lives, and ask God to bring renewal of faith and goodness to our church.
Next, change has begun!
And lastly, we will continue to be a place of worship in this me of change!
Things to keep in mind:
Will our name change? Most likely, yes.
Will our church look the same? Perhaps not.
Will God take care of all of us? Definitely, yes!
Most importantly, remember that God has brought us together on this journey and that I love you, and we will move through it all together!
May you find many blessings this day!
