Study the Word – Ask Questions!
This September you have two opportunities to study the Bible, and ask questions!
The first is “What Happens Next,” by Max Lucado
- Beginning Sunday, September 15, at 9:30 am (Adult Sunday School), with Pastor Beth
- Beginning Friday, September 13, at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm, with Peggy Oltz
Are we living in the end times? If so, what does that mean for you?
In contrast to the confusion and anxiety that often comes with this topic, Max Lucado believes God wants us to be prepared, not scared; informed, not intimidated. He writes: “The future is not frightening if you know the future. And you can know the future when you know who holds it.”
What Happens Next is an optimistic, accessible, and non-sensational guide to what the Bible says about heaven’s time line that will empower you to face the future with faith. Max takes you on a well-researched overview of what God’s Word says, that provide a solid foundation for understanding God’s eternal plan.
Our second study is a Disciple study:
Disciple I Bible Study, Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
- Beginning Thursday, September 19, from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Wesley Room
The Disciple I Bible Study is an in-depth, thirty-four-week overview of the entire Bible. It gives the Old and New Testaments equal time, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. Disciple draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study of the participant, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible.
Both class are open to the public. Join us, and invite a friend!
