Creation is singing all around us… oh the beauty of it. I pray in the busyness of life, especially this time of year, you are able to spend time appreciating God’s handiwork.

How often I take it all for granted, that the sun will rise, the grass will be green another day, and the birds will sing at 4:45 am outside my bedroom window.

This morning, as I was doing my morning devotion on the “Pray As You Go” app on my phone, a news flash came across my screen about the latest hit in Gaza where 46 were killed. My heart sank, and I prayed for the families left behind.

My heart hurts because God’s plan for the world is, ”And God saw that it was good,” as we read throughout the Genesis story. So how can we move closer to what is Good in the eyes of God while surrounded by a hurting, violent world? By continually walking with the Lord and reaching out with God’s love.

We have many opportunities to share this love as we celebrate this summer. Be strong and courageous as you bring the news of life in Christ at a graduation party, at a picnic at the park, or while boating on a lake.
